Arkansas Traveller 100 Mile

The Arkansas Traveller 100 is one of the oldest 100-mile races in the country, held each October in the Ouachita National Forest since 1991. Starting at the historic Camp Ouachita near Williams Junction, runners begin with a 17-mile figure-eight loop through forest roads and a section of the Ouachita National Recreation Trail before launching into an 83-mile out-and-back across the rolling Ouachita Mountains. The course traverses a mix of smooth and unmaintained gravel forest roads, 4-wheeler trails, and singletrack, accumulating roughly 12,000 feet of climbing through what locals describe as 'sneaky-hard runnable hills.' Aid stations stocked generously throughout, with hot food and warm drinks available through the night, are a signature of this race's legendary volunteer culture. Widely recommended as an ideal first 100-miler, the AT100 draws back repeat finishers year after year who return for the camaraderie and the iconic 'Good Time Running' experience.
