A single counterclockwise loop through the Hill Country State Natural Area, the Bandera 50k delivers the full experience of the iconic rocky, sotol-covered terrain in one punishing lap. Runners climb relentlessly over steep Hill Country ridges, earning panoramic vistas before bombing technical descents back down. With only one flat stretch (the Race Track near YaYa Aid Station), this is a legitimate challenge with full aid station support, crew access throughout, and a Sunday start that coincides with the 25k for a lively race-day atmosphere.

Primitive camping available at the race venue (Hill Country State Natural Area), first-come first-served, no reservations needed Thu–Mon. $25/person covers all nights (tent, car, or RV without hookup).
