Three big climbs through bamboo forest and jungle in Sabah's Kiulu Valley
The 30 km course offers a concentrated taste of Kiulu Valley's jungle trails and river valleys. Starting with a direct climb, it passes the Hawun Valley Campsite overlook with views to Mount Kinabalu before descending to the river and heading south to a series of narrow forest trails and stream crossings. The course features three distinct climbs — the largest reaching 400 m gain — with descents through bamboo forest and rubber plantations. An excellent entry point into BUTM-style jungle trail running.
