119km through Cappadocia's fairy chimneys and ancient valleys
The Salomon Cappadocia Ultra-Trail (CUT) is a 119km loop through the otherworldly valleys and rock formations of Turkey's Cappadocia region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route passes through Pigeon Valley, Love Valley, Zemi Valley, and the historic towns of Ortahisar, Göreme, Üchisar, and Çavuşin before returning to Ürgüp. Running on trekking paths and rocky ground between 900 and 1,700 meters elevation, with 10 well-stocked checkpoints and a life base at 62km, it is the flagship event of Turkey's largest trail running organization. A UTMB 100K Index race, it draws an international field from across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
