Late November in central Taiwan's mountains brings cool, stable conditions. Daytime temperatures in Puli (~500m) are pleasant at 15–20°C, but the mountain sections can be significantly colder. Nights frequently drop below 10°C at elevation, and runners on the 75km course will experience the coldest pre-dawn hours. A mid-layer in the cpD drop bag is strongly recommended. The November post-typhoon season is generally drier than summer, but conditions can change quickly.
Night temperatures drop below 10°C at elevation. Waterproof jacket is mandatory; mid-layer recommended for all finishers.
Open ridgeline sections between cpB and cpC have significant sun exposure during mid-race daytime hours.
Mountain weather can change quickly; conditions at start do not predict conditions on exposed ridgelines later in the race.
