Four days, four stages, one complete traverse of the Grampians
The same 162km journey across the full Grampians Peaks Trail run over four consecutive days, with runners basing at Halls Gap each night between stages. Stage 1 covers Mt Zero to Halls Gap (49.5km), Stage 2 from Halls Gap to Mt William Carpark (37.5km), Stage 3 from Mt William to Griffin Fireline (42km), and Stage 4 from Griffin Fireline to Dunkeld (33km). Each stage has its own aid stations and cutoff times. The stage format makes the full traverse accessible to runners who want to experience the complete route with overnight recovery. A UTMB World Series qualifier.

The opening stage begins with the iconic Flat Rock climb revealing the world-famous Taipan Wall, then traverses rocky ridgelines, waterfalls, and forested trail south to Halls Gap. Shared course with the standalone GPT50K.
The most technically demanding stage with relentless climbing through Borough Huts and across the Seven Dials and Redmans Bluff before reaching clifftop views at Mt William.
A net downhill stage crossing the Major Mitchell Plateau and the race's highest point, Durd Durd (1167m), before a long descent to Jimmy Creek and rolling newly-built trail to Griffin Fireline.
The scenic finale summits Signal Peak, Mt Abrupt (Mud-Dadjug), and Mt Sturgeon (Wurgarri) before a descent via river trail into the finish in Dunkeld. Shared course with the standalone GPT33.
GPT Camp available to registered race entrants for $350 AUD, bookable via Race Roster with an access code provided after registering. Halls Gap township also has accommodation options three hours northwest of Melbourne.
