A flat, fast 50 miles from Sterling to Lock 17 on the Hennepin Canal towpath.
The 50-mile course runs from Sinnissippi Park in Sterling eastward along the Hennepin Canal, sharing the trail with 100-mile runners for the first 32 miles before branching south on the Feeder Canal. Runners do a short out-and-back to a bib reader beyond Lock 17 and return to finish at picturesque Lock 17 near Wyanet. The flat, fast surface of crushed limestone and packed dirt makes this a popular first-50 and PR course.
