What Makes It Great

A point-to-point epic through the heart of the Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park, combining Finland's oldest hiking trail (the historic Hetta–Pallas route) with a crossing of Ylläs fell. Starting in Hetta village and finishing in Äkäslompolo 160 km later, the course traverses open Arctic fells, deep gorges, dense boreal forests, and high viewpoints — all under the perpetual glow of the midnight sun. At 3,750 m of elevation gain and a 35-hour cutoff, this is one of Scandinavia's most demanding multi-day ultras.
