Finland's oldest hiking trail, reimagined as a trail race
A 66 km point-to-point from Hetta to Pallas following Finland's oldest marked hiking trail with an added loop to Ketomella. The route crosses open Arctic fells, descends through deep gorges, and navigates boardwalks across wetlands — tracing the legendary Hetta–Pallas route that has welcomed hikers since 1934. Runners finish at the Pallas fell hotel with views over the national park and a free shuttle back to the race center.
