58km into the Serra da Bocaina National Park and up the iconic Pedra da Macela
The PTR 58 sends runners on 58km through preserved Atlantic Forest within the Serra da Bocaina National Park. Starting before dawn from the Paraty historic center, runners climb into dense jungle, then descend to sea level before tackling the signature challenge: the steep ascent to Pedra da Macela, with sweeping views over Paraty Bay. The return follows the historic Trilha do Ouro — an original Portuguese stone-paved trail through jungle — back to the finish. A well-balanced course blending fast runnable sections with demanding climbs.
