Table Mountain's two biggest climbs packed into 34.5km — the steepest ratio in the UTCT lineup
The Table Mountain 35km delivers nearly 2,000m of climbing in just 34.5km — the highest elevation-to-distance ratio of any UTCT distance. The first climb ascends Platteklip Gorge to the Table Mountain summit plateau, followed by technical descents, forest running, and the punishing '400 Stairs' along the Newlands contour before dropping into the shaded ravine. Typically run on Sunday, the hottest day of the UTCT weekend, TM35 finishes with the climb to King's Blockhouse before the final contour back to Race Village.
