What Makes It Great

Starting before dawn from Gardens Rugby Club, the UT100 front-loads its two biggest challenges: a grinding climb over Table Mountain and a technical traverse of Karbonkelberg's remote ridge within the first 50km. The back half offers fast-flowing forest running through Cecilia and Newlands before the iconic climb to King's Blockhouse and the final contour stretch back to Race Village. Widely regarded as one of the most competitive 100km races in the world, the UT100 draws an elite international field to the southern tip of Africa every November.
