VK El Gigante is a pure Vertical Kilometer race starting in the Valle de Agaete and ascending the sheer wall of the Tamadaba massif — 1,090 meters of elevation gain packed into just 5.5 kilometers. One of the steepest and most visually dramatic VK courses in Spain, it tests pure climbing power and high-altitude fitness in the spectacular northwest corner of Gran Canaria. The awards ceremony follows immediately at the valley finish.
