104 km around the slopes of Hallasan, South Korea's highest and most volcanic peak
The Jeju100K covers 104 km through Hallasan National Park, tracing a loop around the volcanic interior of Jeju Island. Starting at dawn from Jeju World Cup Stadium, the course climbs through subtropical forest to the upper slopes of Hallasan before descending through ancient lava terrain to the finish. Technical basalt staircases, volcanic rock gardens, and wooden forest boardwalks define the character of the route. Named checkpoint locations — Healing Forest, Yeongsil Entrance, Eorimok, Gwanumsa, Seongpanak — are iconic trails on the mountain.
