A demanding coastal loop with UTMB World Series Finals Access
TransLantau 50 covers 45 kilometers of scenic coastal trails on the eastern side of Lantau Island, accumulating 2,500 meters of elevation gain through the Chi Ma Wan peninsula and over Lo Yan Shan before returning to Mui Wo. The route then pushes north to Discovery Bay with a sharp ascent of Lo Fu Tau (Tiger's Head) before finishing along the Olympic Trail. A daytime start and four well-spaced aid stations make this the marquee mid-distance event of the weekend, with a competitive field drawn by its status as a UTMB World Series Finals Access qualifier.
