25K over the Aboboreira megalithic plateau and Goiva waterfall descent
The Mini Trail do Marão starts from the town of Baião and quickly climbs onto the Aboboreira plateau — Portugal's largest megalithic necropolis — with its ancient dolmens and sweeping mountain views. The route descends through the pretty Aldeia Velha and then follows the spectacular Goiva waterfalls stream into Amarante. An excellent introduction to the trails of the Marão region that retains the event's wild mountain identity.
