A brutal 163km crossing of the Sierras Grandes de los Comechingones, traveling from the Calamuchita Valley over Cerro Champaquí (2884m — Córdoba's highest peak) and deep into the remote Traslasierra Valley before returning. Runners navigate non-tourist wilderness terrain for hours at a stretch, with 14 aid stations spread over a 42-hour window. Semi-self-sufficiency and self-evacuation are mandatory — in case of abandonment due to fatigue, rescue from remote sections can take 24 hours or more. With only ~42% of starters finishing, this is one of the most demanding 100-milers in South America. A Western States 100 qualifier.
