What Makes It Great

Chile's most emblematic trail running event challenges runners through the volcanic landscapes of Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales on the slopes of Volcán Osorno. Starting at night from Camping Playa Petrohué on the shores of the turquoise Lago Todos Los Santos, the 100K Ultra Terra accumulates three full vertical kilometers across four major climbs — to the Ski Center on Osorno, La Roca Vulcano, Quebrada Jurásica, and Cerro La Picada — before finishing back at the lake after 25 hours of racing through old-growth forest, volcanic ash, and exposed ridgelines. Variable weather, technical footing on volcanic rock and sand, and remote mountain terrain make this one of South America's most demanding 100K courses.
