A pre-dawn loop over La Roca Vulcano and the Quebrada Jurásica with 3,260m of gain
The Half Ultra Terra 55K (real distance 54km) is the second-longest challenge at Vulcano Ultra Trail, packing two vertical kilometers into a demanding loop above Lago Todos Los Santos. Runners begin before dawn and climb La Roca Vulcano — a steep volcanic rock face — before descending to Petrohué and then ascending again via the technical Quebrada Jurásica to the exposed Paso Desolación. The final kilometers run through native alerce forest and along the lake's turquoise shore back to the finish.
