An entry-level loop across volcanic lava fields to the shores of Lago Todos Los Santos
The Rookie 8.5K is Vulcano's most accessible distance, designed for first-time trail runners and families. The course crosses three volcanic lava aluviones on wide ash trails to the Cruce aid station, then descends to Lago Todos Los Santos and follows the lake's volcanic rock shore back to Petrohué. Open to runners 14 and older with parental authorization.
