The toughest race on the Prairies — 161 km through Lethbridge's blistering coulee country
The Lost Soul Ultra 100 Mile sends runners through the dramatic river valley coulees of Lethbridge, completing an initial 9 km loop before tackling three full 50.3 km laps of the course. Starting at 8:00 am Friday, competitors face 16 significant hills per lap through a brutal mix of singletrack, shale paths, and gravel roads alongside the Oldman River. With highs reaching 30°C, minimal shade, and full overnight running, this self-described 'toughest race on the Prairies' punishes the unprepared. The terrain traverses land where the last major First Nations battle on Canadian soil took place between the Blackfoot and Cree Confederacies less than 150 years ago. A Western States qualifier for finishers under 33 hours.
