The flagship 55-mile course starts and finishes at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, climbing from the Garden of the Gods area up Rampart Range Road to nearly 9,500 feet before looping the full circumference of Rampart Reservoir. The route offers sustained mountain running with Pikes Peak as a constant backdrop, returning down the Rampart Range Road to the finish-line party at the lodge.
