Australia's premier 100-mile race through UNESCO World Heritage Blue Mountains
The UTAMiler is Ultra-Trail Australia's 100-mile race, introduced in 2025 when UTA elevated to UTMB World Series Major status. Starting at Govetts Leap Carpark in Blackheath, the course descends into the majestic Grose Valley — including Grand Canyon and Lockleys Pylon — before joining the iconic UTA100 route at Narrow Neck for a journey along cliff tops, through lush valleys, and across scenic ridges. The final challenge: all 951 Furber Steps up to the finish line at Scenic World in Katoomba. With 7290 metres of elevation gain entirely within UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park, the UTAMiler is the defining challenge of Australian trail running.
