What Makes It Great

The Blue Sky Round-Trip covers the full out-and-back on North America's highest paved road — climbing 14.5 miles from Echo Lake at 10,600 feet to the 14,264-foot summit of Mount Blue Sky, then running back down to the start. Introduced in 2021, the Round-Trip starts one hour before the Ascent and adds the challenge of managing an extended high-altitude descent after reaching the summit. A summit drop bag is available at the turnaround point.
