What Makes It Great

A five-loop journey through Bear Creek Lake Park on Denver's Front Range, the Bear Chase 100K is one of Colorado's most approachable 100K courses. Five repeating 12.5-mile Orange loops keep runners returning to a fully stocked Start/Finish area, making crew access and pacing logistics straightforward. With 99% smooth singletrack dirt trail and under 4,400 feet of total gain, the course rewards consistency over technical skill — though October conditions can bring cold nights and variable weather that test finishing runners.
