What Makes It Great

A 103-mile single-loop circumnavigation of the Pine Creek watershed in north-central Pennsylvania's Allegheny Plateau. The course traverses legendary trails including the Mid State Trail, Standing Stone Trail, and the Black Forest Trail, accumulating over 20,000 feet of climbing. Runners face relentless technical climbs, remote backcountry, and the full brunt of mid-August heat and humidity in the Pennsylvania Wilds — a genuine test of trail running craft at every level.
