The Ultra Tour Relay follows the identical 174 km route as the solo event, divided into 4 sections. Teams of 2 to 4 runners (men, women, or mixed) alternate at relay exchanges located at La Mongie (~31 km), Pierrefitte (~77 km), and Luz Saint-Sauveur (~132 km). The relay is the only GRP event not subject to the lottery draw, making it more accessible. Each relay runner must carry the mandatory equipment for their section. If a relay runner abandons, the team may continue from the next accessible checkpoint with a time penalty.
