The Ultra Tour Solo is the flagship event of the Grand Raid des Pyrénées, a 174 km loop starting and finishing in Vielle-Aure. Runners summit the iconic Pic du Midi de Bigorre (2,877 m) and traverse the Néouvielle massif, the Pyrenees National Park, the cirques of Gavarnie and Estaubé, and pass through the towns of Cauterets, Luz Saint-Sauveur, and Pierrefitte-Nestalas. With 10,400 m of climbing, multiple high passes above 2,400 m, and a 50-hour time limit spanning two nights, this is one of France's most demanding and celebrated ultras.
