Rocky peaks and gorge descents on a scenic 25km circuit around iconic Sani Pass
The Drakensberg Rock Jumper (DRJ) is a 25.5km Sunday morning circuit around the Premier Resort Sani Pass area with 900m of climbing. Starting from the race village, the route punches upward to Salt and Pepper, then flows past waterfalls and along the start of the Giant's Cup Trail before descending through the dramatic Gwalingenwa Gorge back to the resort. A punchy, scenic introduction to the technical trails of the Southern Drakensberg — perfect for those wanting to experience real mountain terrain without the ultra distances.
