Sawatch 50/50

The ultimate Freestone Endurance weekend challenge: the West Line Winder 50k on Saturday in Buena Vista followed by the Sawatch Ascent 50k on Sunday in Nathrop — two radically different Colorado landscapes totaling 64 miles and over 11,000 feet of vertical gain. Each race has its own independent results, but those who finish both under the 11-hour cutoffs earn Sawatch 50/50 status, Laws Whiskey prizes, and separate place awards. The overall winners earn a lottery bypass into the following year's High Lonesome 100 and the right to claim the title of Sawatch GOAT. The 50/50 also serves as a High Lonesome 100 qualifier.
