The Sheep Mountain 50k covers 33 miles through the South Park Valley at an average elevation of 10,500 feet, traversing the most scenic portions of the course—including a loop past Brown's Pass and up to Pasture—without extending into the full 52.5-mile lollipop. The same 10:00 PM cutoff as the 50-Mile gives runners ample time, but the relentless high altitude and potential for afternoon monsoons keep this firmly challenging. No crew or pacers are permitted; drop bags are available at Horseshoe and Pasture aid stations.

HPRS-hosted camping at the race venue. Tent camping requires reservation through RunSignUp. Camper vans, rooftop tents, trailers, and vehicle sleeping are free.
