84K through medieval forests on the trail of Hungary's knight king
The Salomon Szentlászló Trail traces an 84-kilometer journey through the Pilis and Visegrád mountain ranges, named for Hungary's revered knight king Saint Ladislaus whose legacy is woven into the forests around Pilisszentlászló. Starting at 2 AM from Szentendre, runners navigate seven aid stations and 3,186 meters of climbing across dense forested terrain. A sub-11-hour finish earns an additional SUB 11 medal alongside the standard FNSHR award.
