What Makes It Great

The first 100-miler on the Colorado calendar, the Great Divide Ultra 100 Mile sends runners through seven loops of Mueller State Park's rolling meadows and Pikes Peak granite scenery. The course is entirely above 9,100 feet on smooth singletrack and doubletrack, making it an accessible entry into 100-mile racing without the technical terrain of many Colorado ultras. The generous 36-hour cutoff and well-stocked aid stations every 4–6 miles make this a welcoming race for both first-time centurions and experienced runners chasing a strong time.

Race Highlights

First 100-miler on the Colorado calendar
Held in early June, it kicks off Colorado's 100-mile season before higher-altitude races become passable.
16,071 ft of gain on non-technical trail
Substantial climbing across seven loops, yet entirely on smooth singletrack — no scrambling or boulder fields.
Entire course above 9,100 ft
Mueller State Park sits atop Pikes Peak granite with sweeping views of Colorado's Front Range throughout.
Generous 36-hour cutoff
Aid stations are 4–6 miles apart and all crew-accessible, making this one of the more runner-friendly 100s in the region.
Sold out three consecutive years
Demand for the event has consistently outpaced capacity, reflecting its reputation among Colorado ultrarunners.
