From Bright to the Horn and back — Victoria's premier mountain ultra
Starting and finishing in the alpine township of Bright, the Buffalo Stampede 100km traces a spectacular route through Victoria's High Country to the summit of the Horn — the highest point of Mount Buffalo National Park — and back. With 4,800m of elevation gain, runners climb via Emily's Spur, traverse the remote Buffalo Plateau at altitude past Lake Catani and the Cathedral, summit the Horn at 1,723m, and battle the relentless Dingo Ridge climb on the return leg. The final descent of Middle Track — loose, rocky, and technical — is a rite of passage for every finisher. UTMB World Series and Western States 100 qualifier.
