A 16-mile alpine loop climbing Steamboat's ski mountain to 10,350 ft with sweeping valley views
Other trail races within 85 miles
The CDTR 16 Mile packs big mountain character into a half-day race. Starting on the Torian Plum Lawn at 7,000 ft, runners climb over 3,500 ft through aspen and pine forests to Mt. Werner Summit at 10,350 ft, then traverse back via Rainbow Saddle before descending to the finish. A well-suited challenge for trail runners looking to experience the Continental Divide high country without the full 50K commitment. Proceeds benefit the Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund. Cupless race: carry your own hydration.
