Starting from the Cispus River valley, this challenging 50K climbs through old-growth forest to Tongue Mountain before ascending the sun-soaked, serrated ridgeline of Juniper Ridge all the way out to Sunrise Peak and back. With over 9,000 feet of gain on highly technical trails and miles of exposed alpine running with sweeping Cascade volcano panoramas, this is not a beginner ultramarathon—but a genuinely spectacular mountain adventure for experienced trail runners.

Bunkhouse beds at Cispus Learning Center available for $43 via Ultrasignup at registration. Car, tent, and RV camping also available nearby. Camping opens Thursday at noon for 100-mile runners, Saturday for 50K and Fun Run participants.
