The definitive Bernese Oberland loop beneath the legendary Eiger North Face
Other trail races within 77 miles
A 101km loop through the heart of the Bernese Oberland, taking runners over high alpine passes and beneath the vertical granite walls of the legendary Eiger North Face. The route links iconic waypoints — Grosse Scheidegg, the Faulhorn summit at 2680m, Schynige Platte, Wengen, and Männlichen — before a dramatic traverse directly below the north face and back to Grindelwald. With 6700m of gain, a 4am start, and a UTMB qualification index required, the E101 is the flagship challenge of the Eiger Ultra series.
