What Makes It Great

The queen race of Wildstrubel by UTMB is a full loop circumnavigation of the Wildstrubel massif, connecting the Swiss cantons of Valais and Bern over two legendary passes. Starting at 22:30 from Crans-Montana, runners thread through Leukerbad, cross the mythical Gemmi Pass (2,268m) into the Bernese Oberland, pass through Kandersteg, Adelboden, and Lenk, then summit the Wildstrubel hut at 2,800m before returning to Valais via the Rawyl Pass (2,427m). The route finishes along the suspended Bisse du Ro canal trail above the Rhône Valley. A Western States 100M qualifier, it earns 4 UTMB Running Stones toward the Finals in Chamonix.
