Other trail races within 200 miles
The Grossglockner Trail covers 57 kilometers from Kals am Grossglockner to Kaprun, following the classic route along the southern and eastern flanks of the Grossglockner massif. From the Musikpavillon in Kals, runners ascend through alpine meadows to the Glorer Hütte (2,642m), cross the Stockerscharte (2,465m), and navigate a technical descent over the Margaritze reservoir dam to the Glocknerhaus. The final kilometers lead through Fusch to the finish in Kaprun. Described as the most runnable event at GGUT, it still demands 3,500m of climbing, 4,000m of descent, and significant alpine experience.
