Other trail races within 200 miles
The Kaprun Scenic Trail is a 16-kilometer loop from Kaprun's Salzburger Platz that introduces runners to alpine trail racing in the Hohe Tauern. After a gentle approach on cycle paths, the route climbs 1,000 meters via the Bürgkogel and Schneckenreitalm to the summit area of the Schneckenberg, with a supply stop at the Alpengasthof Glocknerblick offering panoramic views of Kaprun, Zell am See, and the Grossglockner. The descent follows well-maintained hiking trails back to the GGUT Arena. With 90% of the route on marked hiking paths and technical difficulty low, this is the GGUT event best suited for first-time alpine runners.
