The 20K introduces trail runners to the Kaga mountains with a 20.7km point-to-point course starting from Kenmin no Mori (the Prefectural Forest Park) and finishing at the historic Yamanaka-za theater. A free shuttle carries runners from Yamanaka Onsen to the forest park start. Despite the modest distance, the 649m of elevation gain and Japan's June conditions make it a legitimate trail challenge and an excellent gateway to the UTMB World Series — earning 1 Running Stone toward UTMB qualifying.
