The Sangre de Cristo 50 Mile traverses 50.6 miles of Rainbow Trail singletrack entirely above 9,000 feet in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. With 10,700 feet of climbing and a 20-hour cutoff, runners tackle one of Colorado's most scenic wilderness-boundary routes in an uncompromising mountain environment. Crew support is limited to the start/finish at Music Meadows; pacers are allowed from Venable at mile 35. The race starts at 6 AM alongside the 50K field.
