The Sangre de Cristo 50K covers 33 miles of Rainbow Trail singletrack entirely above 9,000 feet in the southern Colorado Rockies. With 7,600 feet of climbing and a 16-hour cutoff, the course follows the wilderness boundary to a turnaround at Macey Creek before returning to Music Meadows Ranch. No crew or pacers are permitted — this is a self-reliant mountain running challenge in a genuinely remote setting. Starts at 6 AM alongside the 50-mile field.
