What Makes It Great

The queen distance of the Swiss Canyon Trail, the 111K (officially 114.8 km) takes runners on an extended loop through the Swiss Jura, exploring the Val-de-Travers and northern Vaud canton. Steep climbs to summit Chasseron (1,606 m) and traverse iconic landmarks like the Creux du Van canyon and the Gorges de l'Areuse alternate with rolling ridge sections and demanding technical descents. Part of the race takes place overnight, demanding a headlamp and self-sufficiency between aid stations spaced roughly every 10 km.
