The Gladiator is a 64 km loop from Ajdovščina, starting at 08:00 Saturday. Runners climb directly to the Nanos plateau, traverse the ridgeline, descend to Vipava, and return through the forested slopes above the valley. The route packs 2400m of climbing into a single long day, with four aid stations and a 16-hour cutoff. It's the entry point to UTVV for runners building toward longer distances and regularly draws competitive international fields for its cash prizes.
