Lakeside out-and-back along Folsom Lake's scenic eastern shoreline
Other trail races within 80 miles
A 30-mile lakeside out-and-back through Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, following the south-eastern shoreline on moderately technical singletrack and doubletrack trails from Folsom Point State Park. Crossing Dike 8 at the start, the course winds east past Falcon Crest to the turnaround at Salmon Falls Trailhead, with eight well-stocked aid stations along the way. The terrain is gently rolling and approachable by ultramarathon standards, making this a popular choice for a first 50K or a fitness benchmark race.
