17 km on ancient mule tracks through Corte's mountain doorstep at dusk
The Giru di Tumbone is a 17 km loop that introduces runners to Corsica's mountain trails from the center of Corte. The course follows the historic Mare a Mare Nord mule track up the Monte Tumbone ridgeline, passing the San Rocco chapel with sweeping views of the citadel and surrounding massifs, before a descent through chestnut groves and rolling terrain to the finish in the old town. Accessible to runners aged 18 and over, it offers a genuine introduction to technical Corsican mountain terrain in an evening race atmosphere.
