A 165km odyssey from alpine peaks to the Promenade des Anglais

Starting from the alpine village of Auron at 1,600m, this 165km journey traverses the Mercantour National Park before descending through Mediterranean foothills to finish on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The course summits above 2,650m at Refuge de Rabuons and crosses 15 major checkpoints in a dramatic transition from high-alpine wilderness to French Riviera coastline. Runners navigate technical alpine terrain, chestnut forests, the Tinée valley, and a final series of four coastal hills before reaching the Mediterranean shore.
