Restonica Trail 100K

The Restonica Trail is a 67 km mountain loop covering the classic high terrain above Corte, combining technical climbing with exposed alpine traverses and the iconic glacial lakes that define the heart of Corsica's mountains. From the predawn start in Corte, the route gains elevation immediately, reaching the pozzines of Lac de Ninu — a plateau of high-altitude bogs — and the dramatic Bocca alle Porte pass at 2,252 m before descending through the Restonica gorge valley back to town. With 3,900 m of elevation gain and a 19-hour cutoff, it suits experienced trail runners seeking a quality alpine challenge.
