What Makes It Great

A three-loop journey through the untamed singletrack of Colorado's Front Range foothills, just 45 minutes southwest of Denver. Starting at Indian Creek Campground near Sedalia, the course winds between 5,000 and 8,000 feet through lodgepole pine forests, sprawling aspen groves, and open meadows dotted with the same red rock formations that frame Red Rocks Amphitheater. October's prime fall color display backdrops a course threading through Pike National Forest and Roxborough State Park, with occasional distant views of Denver and nearby 14ers. All three loops return to the start/finish, centralizing crew and drop bag access. A mid-race drop-down to the 55k is available at the end of loop two.
